    After I install a FSB 533MHz CPU on ECS G31T-M7(V1.0), it does not boot up. What's wrong? 


    Since ECS G31T-M7(V1.0) is built with Intel G31 chipset which supports FSB 1333/ 1066/ 800MHz (333/ 266/ 200MHz) but NOT 533MHz, the M/B won't boot up when a FSB 533MHz CPU is installed.
    It is a normal behavior due to the chipset limitation.

    Does G31T-M7 V1.0 support SATAII HDD? 

    Yes, this motherboard is compliant with SATAII specification as " Feature" page description in ECS website for this model.So it is compatible to support SATAII HDD.

    Does this motherboard support Intel Pentium D 820 CPU? 


    No. This motherboard cannot support Intel Pentium D 820 CPU. Please refer to the CPU support list of G31T-M7 V1.0 on the following website.

    MB will beep at regular intervals, approximately every 5 seconds. What’s wrong with it? 

    When you power on your system and found there is no output from display with beep sound generated, at first please check if all external devices especially like DRAM and VGA are connected well. Please also refer to the following beep codes table for troubleshooting.

    I lost my user password, how can I do? 

    1.Clear CMOS data by jumer (CLR_CMOS 2-3 pin) for 30 seconds.
    2.Put the CLR_CMOS jumper back to 1-2 pin
    3.Power on the system and the warning message will pop up at POST.
      "CMOS Checksum Bad"
      "CMOS Date/Time Not Set. Press F1 to Run SETUP"
    4.Access "BIOS Setup" by hitting F1 key & press F10 to save & exit BIOS Setup.

    What the PCI-E Express specification come with on G31T-M7? 


    The PCI-E Express specification of G31T-M7 comes with PCI-E V1.1, You can refer to the manual on page18.

    When I install VIA HD audio driver in Windows XP system, it pop up ''HD Audio Device no found'' message, how do I fix it? 

    If Microsoft UAA Bus driver for high definition audio is disabled or install not well, it will pop up “HD Audio Device no found” message when installing VIA HD audio driver. Please enter the Device Manager and scroll down to System Device to check “Microsoft UAA Bus driver for high definition audio” status, if you will not see it, or it has a yellow mark, please download “Microsoft UAA Bus driver for high difinition audio” from internet, then install it, and then download and install VIA HD audio driver.

    Where to download Windows Server 2003? 

    Due to this model is not designed for Windows Server platform, there is no any drivers for Windows Server 2003.

    What is max FSB clock of CPU and RAM supported? 

    This model supports max FSB clock of CPU up to 1333MHz, and supports max memory speed up to DDR2 800MHz.

    Does this motherboard support Intel Pentium 4 processor? If not, what CPU can be supported? 

    No. This motherboard cannot support Intel Pentium 4 processor. It can support Intel Core 2 Quad/Core 2 Duo/Pentium Dual-core/Celeron 4xx processors. Please refer to the CPU support list of G31T-M7 V1.0 from the following website.

    Where can I find LAN driver for Windows XP? 

    This model comes with Atheros AR8112 10/100 LAN, please visit the following website for downloading LAN driver for Windows XP.

    What is the external graphics card recommended for this model? 

    The below table is the graphics cards we tested and qualified, we strongly suggest user to use them when you would like to install external graphics card.

    Is it normal to see 3.25GB available RAM or less at 64bit OS when 4GB RAM installed on motherboard? 

    It is normal. Due to PC architectural requirements such as OS, applications and  memory shared for onboard graphics, the left available physical memory will be various and less than total physical memory.
    Installed Physical Memory : 4GB ( The memory installed physically.)
    Total Physical Memory : 4GB ( OS reported and can be used. )
    Available Physical Memory : 3.55GB ( This is left available memory out of total physical memory. It will be changed depends on OS, application, onboard graphics and so on.

    Can G31T-M7 V1.0 board support Inter P4 3.6Ghz 2M Cache/800MHz FSB? 

    No. This motherboard cannot support Inter P4 3.6Ghz 2M Cache/800MHz FSB CPU. Please refer to the CPU support list of G31T-M7 V1.0 from the following website.

    Can this motherboard support RAID function? 

    This motherboard comes with the Intel ICH7 Southbridge chipset, the ICH7 Southbridge doesn’t support RAID function, so this motherboard cannot support RAID function.

    Can this model support quad core CPU? What are the qualified CPU? 

    Yes, this model can support Intel Quad Core CPU. Please refer to the CPU support table, we strongly recommend users to use them.
