General FAQ

Question
Intel Virtualization may not be available when enabled Intel VT and Intel TXT at the same time in BIOS.

Answer

When you set up for Windows Virtual PC, it needs to enable Intel Virtualization Technology or AMDV feature in the BIOS. Customer may receive an error message said that processor virtualization is not enabled despite enabling processor virtualization in the BIOS or that Microsoft Hardware Virtualization is not available when enabling both Intel trusted execution technology (TXT) and virtualization at the same time. As a workaround, Microsoft recommends that customers turnoff trusted execution when enabled processor virtualization.
