ECS Unveils ATI CrossFire<sup>&trade;</sup> Supported Motherboards

Taipei, Taiwan, Aug 31, 2005 –Elitegroup Computer Systems (ECS) today announced the availability of its PA1 MVP Extreme ATI CrossFire-supported motherboard.

In order to provide gamers and enthusiasts with this excellent alternative multi-rendering solution, ECS worked closely with ATI with the goal of becoming the first motherboard manufacturer to release ATI CrossFire supported motherboards.

The PA1 MVP Extreme is the first ECS motherboard supporting the ATI CrossFire technology.  It features ECS's unique Scalable D.G.E. (Scalable Dual Graphic Engines) design, which enables leveraging of ATI's CrossFire technology.  With Scalable D.G.E., two PCI-E based graphics cards can be connected to work effectively in tandem to enhance overall graphics performance. Users can also take the advantage of the PCI Express architecture by plugging in any single PCI Express graphics card. Like other ECS Extreme motherboards, the PA1 MVP Extreme also comes with the company's proprietary dynamic overclocking technology, Instant Overclocking Controller (I.O.C.).

Designed to deliver leading graphics performance, the PA1 MVP Extreme also features a lengthy list of advanced architecture features to provide bandwidth and augmented functionality.  The PA1 Extreme MVP supports LGA775 socket, Intel Pentium D processor, HT technology, Dual DDR2 667 memory architecture, SATAII, Gigabit LAN, 8 channel audio and comes with FSB options up to 1066.
