ECS DeskNote A535 Received Taiwan Good Design Award
The best combination of value and power on the market today, the A535 DeskNote features the AMD Duron Mobility CPU with frequencies of 850MHz and up, a 1 Gbps LAN, IEEE 802.11g-supported wireless LAN, DVD + RW, USB 2.0 and a 14-inch TFT LCD monitor delivering resolution up to 1024 x 768.
The annual Taiwan Good Design Mark Awards are made under the auspices of Taiwan’s Ministry of Economic Affairs Industrial Development Bureau to encourage creative product design. The ECS DeskNote 928 and DeskNote 929 were nominated for this award in 2002.
Designed for the 'multitasking' user who needs a PC ready to work - or play - anywhere, DeskNote 'on the go' is ready to go at home, at work or most anywhere in between.
"With the mindset of driving the new PC era, ECS has been dedicating to develop products with creative design to benefit the entire range of PC users from the high-end to the entry-level segment," stated ECS Senior Vice President Mike Chou. "This award shows that we continue to deliver quality and high value added personal computing solutions."
The ECS DeskNote A535 features an AMD Duron Mobility processor and 128MB SDRAM memory expandable to 640MB. With its embedded 802.11g WLAN and internal battery pack that frees its owner from power cord hassles while delivering two hours of power for basic operations, the DeskNote A535 provides affordable power, unsurpassed mobility and outstanding features for office and home users.
While competing models offering wireless LAN (802.11b) access cost hundreds more, DeskNote A535 delivers an unbeatable combination of features and value without a high price tag, making this notebook the best choice for a first wireless LAN-capable laptop. Along with a lower price, the A535 delivers feature above and beyond those of other products with similar computing power. The full-featured notebook comes with DVD+RW ROM, USB 2.0 ports, 1 Gbps LAN, and an easy-on-the-eyes 14.1-inch XGA TFT LCD with 1024 x 768 resolution.
The ECS DeskNote A535 also comes with a 2-hour 4-cell Li-Ion battery pack and with an available upgrade to an 8-cell Li-Ion battery pack.
