ECS Modmen Competition Captivates the Audiences at Computex
2013/6/26 Taipei, Taiwan – During more than six-month competition, 5 finalists were chosen from hundreds of entries in the ECS Modmen Competition. Top 5 modders and their amazing works were flown to Taipei to participate in the final stage of competition, which took place during Computex. Hosted by ECS and sponsored by Thermaltake and G.SKILL, 2013 ECS Modmen Competition is to create the stage for excellent modding skills, creativity, and passion.
Modmen Competition: Superior Modding Craftsmanship
During 6/4~6/6 at Computex, on the ECS stage, the contestants gave performances to display their innovations and skills.
The only female in the Top 5 modders, F.A.T., a jewelry designer from the Netherlands, used her specialized surface scratch technique to make some creations on the spot giving to the excited audience. Masbuskado, from the United States, with more than 15 years in case modding, demonstrated an intriguing method of cutting through a case. MegKorea, an experienced team from South Korea, impressed the audience with high-tech 3D mapping capabilities and provided the high quality mouse pads. Last, OrthusWong, from Mexico, impressed everyone with his unique painting technique and offered the chassis with his painting to an audience as a souvenir.
One Million Dollar Winner is Chosen
The mod works from ECS Modmen Competition are judged by a number of specialists of modding community and professional media reviewers. The scores are based on Overall Design, Creativity, Technique, and Mod on Motherboard.
6/6 on Computex ECS stage, ECS proudly announced the finally result by ECS President Sunny Yang. Finally Masbuskado from United States with his incredible mod work—OPPREZZORS: Annihilation Squad— won the title 2013 ECS Modman and $1,000,000 NTD. Below are the awards and the Mod Works:

Besides Computex, ECS is eager for showing modders the charm of Taipei City. ECS Modmen Crew took ECS modders to try some traditional Taiwanese food, including the famous Taiwanese Fried Chicken and Bubba Tea, an irresistible combination, as well as some famous sites, such as Taipei 101, Shilin Night Market, and Tamsui, in order to understand more about the culture. ECS Modders gave credits to ECS and ECS Modmen Competition for a wonderful Taipei Experience promised to come back to Taipei next year.
