CrossFire-support Motherboards To Appear at ATI Technologies launch event
Sydney, Australia—August 25, 2005—the Elitegroup Computer Systems (ECS) will showcase two of its latest ATI CrossFire-support motherboards at ATI Technologies launch event Sydney, Australia, from August 26 - 27, 2005. The two brand new Intel-based and AMD-based motherboards, also known as the PA1 MVP Extreme and the KA1 MVP Extreme, that support ATI CrossFire™ Technology will appear at Stand 10, Hall 4B of the Sydney Showground at the Sydney Olympic Park. Built from the ground up for gaming enthusiasts, the new Extreme series motherboards are built with the latest ATI Radeon XPress 200 CrossFire™ chipsets.
Both come with ECS's I.O.C., an automatic over-clocking technology, and S.D.G.E., the Scalable Dual Graphic Engines, which leverages ATI CrossFireTM Technology, enabling two connected CrossFire-ready graphics cards to work jointly to deliver up to an 80-percent increase in overall rendering performance. These boards also support dual PCI Express graphic card, dual Ethernet, 1394a, USB 2.0, and 8-channel audio. eSATA and port multiplier allow cost-effective and scalable storage. SATA II and NCQ help double the data transfer rate to up to 3 gigabyte per second. The original SATA interface also comes with various types of RAID solution, which include RAID 0 and RAID 1.
The PA1 MVP Extreme includes Socket LGA775, ATI RD400 and SB450 chipsets, which support Intel Pentium™ 4 and the new Intel Pentium™ D processors. It supports the latest Dual Core and the 64-bit Technology. The latest 1066MHz front-side bus and dual channel 667MHz DDR 2 memory is also implemented on the board for providing the highest possible bandwidth for its users.
The KA1 MVP Extreme comes with Socket 939, ATI RD400 and SB450 chipsets, which support the new AMD Athlon™ 64 X2, Athlon™ 64 FX and Athlon™ 64 processors. It also supports the latest Dual Core and the 64-bit Technology. With 2000MT/s system bus and dual channel 400MHz DDR memory, KA1 provides enough bandwidth for today's most demanding applications.
