ECS EZ-Buddie D4I4-1 Barebone System Received Taiwan Good Design Award

Elitegroup Computer System Co., LTD, the innovative IT technology solutions provider dedicated to driving the new PC era, won a Taiwan Good Design Mark Award for its newly designed Intel 865G chipset-based EZ-Buddie barebones system (D4I4-1).
Topping the features that made the EZ-Buddie D4I4-1 a Good Design Award winner is EZ-Watcher, which enables users to adjust CPU frequency by turning a clock tuner on the front panel. This latest model in the EZ-Buddie series supports advanced Hyper Threading technology, 800 MHz FSB and dual channel DDR 400 architecture. A previous version supporting the SiS 651 chipset was nominated for the award in July 2003.
The annual Taiwan Good Design Mark awards are made under the auspices of Taiwan’s Ministry of Economic Affairs Industrial Development Bureau to encourage creative product design.
The ECS EZ-Buddie D4I4-1 supports Intel's Pentium 4 CPU, FSB 800 MHz, Hyper Threading technology and dual channel DDR 400 memory interface. These features enable EZ-Buddie D4I4-1 to deliver server-grade power to demanding power users. Featuring a flexible 6-in-One card reader, stylish appearance, a smart fan function and the ECS-developed EZ-Watcher system control panel, EZ-Buddie is compact, quiet, easy to use PC that delivers high-performance for users' home or office needs.
EZ-Buddie also empowers users with system monitoring and control capabilities that fit their diverse needs. ECS's exclusive EZ-Watcher system control panel allows a general user with limited knowledge of BIOS tweaking to adjust CPU frequency to meet personal requirements by simply rotating the CPU Tuner on the front side of case. EZ-Watcher also provides clearly visible gauges that constantly monitor CPU temperature, system temperature, mainboard performance, memory, hard drive and CD ROM drive. This on-board control panel helps users catch and cure minor glitches before they become major problems.
Smart Fan keeps EZ-Buddie cool with minimum noise. It automatically speeds up when CPU temperature rises and slows down again when the CPU reaches an optimum heat level. EZ-Buddie also features ECS's Visual Cooler technology that minimizes CPU temperature and saves power at the same time. These great ECS technologies mean EZ-Buddie is extremely quiet, emitting only 30 dB to a user 50 cm away. Since that's only half the noise of a normal spoken conversation, EZ-Buddie is barely audible.
